Lao tzu said,
Do you have the patience to wait til your mud settles
And the water is clear?
So I sit things out,
While I scream and shout.
I hug your pillow,
Overwhelmed with doubt.
I hear the clocks tick,
And watch the paint dry,
I stare at your photos;
And try not to cry.
Waiting is hard.
I’m stuck in the mud.
I beg for relief
From the deafening thud
As my heart drops again.
So I pick up my pen
And pray that I find
Some peace of mind
Til the water is clear.
